Y Type Strainers are devices used to mechanically remove unwanted solid particles from liquid, gas, or steam lines through perforated or wire mesh straining elements. They are used in pipeline systems to protect pump lines, meters, control valves, steam traps, regulators, and other process equipment. With manometers on hot and cold water systems, compressed air, saturated steam, non-corrosive liquids, clogs in the filter can be monitored over time, and pressure losses can be tracked. |
