Globe valves are linear motion valves designed primarily to stop, start, and regulate flow. The disk of a globe valve can be completely removed from the flow path or it can completely close the flow path.
Globe valves are extensively used to control flow. To prevent early failure and ensure satisfactory service, flow control, pressure drop, and duty range must be considered in valve design. Valves subjected to high differential pressure drop service require specially designed valve trim. |
